 Abstract 

The radicalization of the youth environment is a social problem, the solution of which is able to ensure stability in the development of society and the state. Knowledge of this process can provide effective tools for managing the youth environment by anticipating negative phenomena in it, in particular extremism. However, such an instrument can only be obtained through knowledge of the characteristics of youth subcultures and those cross-cultural conflicts that arise between various youth communities that are carriers of these subcultures. Knowledge of the mechanism of cross-cultural conflicts can provide an idea of the measures and activities that can prevent them. At the same time, one should pay attention to how specific youth subcultures correspond (or do not correspond) to the values of a traditional society. This is important for preventive work, since in some cases it is quite possible to use the characteristics of a particular subculture to prevent socially dangerous attacks from the relevant youth group. All this is the subject of consideration in this article.
